Beckwith Puppies
At Beckwith, we do the most we can to set our puppies up for success in their new homes. It starts as young as 3 days old with Early Neurological Stimulation (Link). At three weeks of age when their ears open, a CD is played daily that exposes them to a wide range of noises. Then when they are ready, we provide them with different experiences, including a variety of surfaces to walk on, and play with a wide assortment of toys; we make sure that they have been in a variety of rooms in the house, as well as playing outside. We also make sure they’ve met different people, have eaten from different containers and in various places in the house (we even have puppy picnics outside weather permitting!). We go on car rides, get plenty of baths, and start to use a doggie door.
Our puppies go to their new homes dewormed and started on their vaccines. They also take with them a couple of familiar toys, a tube of NutriCal and a several day supply of puppy food they are currently eating. You will also get a copy of their well puppy vet check, their eye exam form from a board certified ophthalmologist and their heart exam form from a board certified cardiologist. Each puppy going to a pet home will also be on a pet contract letting you know what age to spay/neuter, dates for completing their vaccines and feeding instructions. At the time that you take your puppy home, we fill out the registration paperwork for the AKC and the CKCSC-USA. You get the fun of creating their name and I’ll take care of submitting the paperwork. Then all you need to do is enjoy your puppy!

When you take a Beckwith puppy home we want you to feel that you can call or text with any questions. We love to hear how they are adjusting to your family. We especially enjoy seeing photos and videos!
